Except for a little twist, the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Rookie Draft yesterday went on smoothly as Rain or Shine (formerly Welcoat Paints) made Fil-Am Gabe Norwood the top overall pick of the 2008 Rookie Draft at The Fort in Taguig City.

Just as any other No. 1 pick in any Annual PBA Draft, Gabe Norwood was thrilled.
He talked about the challenging role he would play on a team that finished dead last for four straight conferences, then got the promise from the people who hired that his tenure with Rain or Shine will last as long as the partnership goes smooth.
